Well I have news-another one of my recipes has been published in a Taste of Home cookbook.  I had no idea I even entered it.  It takes a very long time to put together one of this beautiful books.

Doorbell knocked and I went to go see who it was.  No one was there, so I peeked out the window since nothing was visible through my peephole.  There was a box.  Now in all honesty-I thought it was a book about "how to make sure you have a smart baby"-or something close to that.

I was asked to look into this for a possible article and had been having quite the time of getting the book.  So when I saw the box, I thought "well thank goodness-and only 6 weeks from my first phone call/e-mail."

But no!  Turned out it was from Reiman Publications.  It had an envelope with it explaining that my recipe was on page 112.  I looked and sure enough-there was my ever popular recipe for cauliflower mashed potatoes.

They renamed it from "Sarah's Favorite Mashers", converted it to serve 12 and slightly messed up the introductory statement, but my name and hometown were spelled right, so I'm okay with it.  No such thing as bad publicity.

This is the 3rd such windfall from the magazine, but I'm pretty sure it will be my last.  I decided that I didn't really like the revamped version of the magazine and didn't renew.  You can't enter a recipe unless you sign up for the website and you can't do that unless you subscribe to one of their editions.

That's okay-how many people can say that Taste of Home likes their recipes enough to include them in their hardback editions?

On Friday-I'll share a couple of the other recipes that were included in the book.
