It is interesting isn’t it? That when an older man dates or marries a girl 10 to 20 years younger than him he is called a Player while women are called a Cougar.

Nobody really advertises him as a player yet, when we as women, exercise our right to break out of the usual acceptable roles, we are labeled by the media.

Actually, I don’t know who came up with that label. Could it have been a disgruntled ex-husband who lost his wife to a younger man?

I dated a guy 10 years younger that me, off and on for about 3 years and when he referred to me as a “Cougar” on one occasion, I didn’t know what he mean’t.

Then when I found out the definition, I told him that I didn’t stalk him he pursued me. So how does that make me a Cougar?  He said that it was all about the age difference.

I say, even though the cougar is a beautiful animal, I still do not like being labeled as an older woman who basically chases after younger men.

Why can’t we be looked at with the same respect and admiration that a man (like Trump) who dates or marries a younger woman gets?

I’ll bet that most of you, have had younger men seek you out instead of the other way around.

Chased not stalking.
