Good morning everyone!!!  I just need to vent a little this morning.  I have a coworker that is just absolutely out there in left field.  She has worked in the nursing home with me for 10 mos. and she still has no clue as to what is going on.  She cannot think for herself and I have to tell her everything that needs to be done and our work is pretty much the same day in and day out.  I work in a nursing home as a dietary cook and she is the dietary aide.  I sometimes could just SCREAM!!!!! I love my job but some days I could just SCREAM “WHAT PART OF YOUR JOB DO YOU NOT GET”  She has no idea who the residents are and everyday she has to be told exactly what to do. You can tell that she just doesn’t pay attention to anything but waht she is doing at that exact moment.  It is sooooo frustrating that I feel like I am babysitting a 5yr. old all day long.  If I wanted to be around kids all day I would have gotten a job in a daycare not a nursing home.  She cannot carry on a decent conversation about politics, religion, the weather or well you get it  NOTHING!!!!!  I feel like I am losing my mind when I leave work and cannot wait to go exercise to get my frustrations out!!

Well thanks for letting me vent, I feel better.  Anybody else have a similar problem with a coworker?

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!!!  I’m OFF TODAY!!!

    • Mizmary....I do understand your frustrations.  I don’t have your problem right now but I have had difficult co-workers in the past.  Maybe instead of continually helping her...let her fail all on her own.  Hopefully a supervisor will see the problem and address it.  Of course not at the expense of the patients.  Sometimes if you give someone enough rope...they end of hanging themselves..and I don’t mean that literally.

Just make a decision each morning before going to work that you are going to choose to NOT let this person ruin your day or make it difficult.

      Exercising after work is great....
