I just wanted to let everyone know that I saw a really good movie last night “Marley and Me“.. It“s funny and emotional. This is one movie that I will add to my collection, which by the way my husband and sons call my collection “girlie movies“. I enjoyed this movie, even my sons liked it, so now my hubby wants to see it... (And he’s not too crazy about movies like this). I needed a GOOD CRY and it felt good afterwards. It makes you think about alot of things..relationships, marriage, work, kids, life in general..So with everything going on in our lives I hope you all have time to watch this movie.. There is also a book out, with the same title..If I’m not mistaken it is based on a true story..
So I hope you all will enjoy either the movie or the book..

    • My brother saw the movie with a date. He had a dog just like Marley and after 13 years had to put her down not long before. He said he choked back tears the entire movie. But he still loved it.

    • it was a gr8 movie. it showed REAL life. the ups the downs and in the end the humane way to help our pets when they need it. I cried like a baby as well!

As for euthanasia...My 2 kitties were in so much pain from their kidneys failing, we had them put down the HUMANE way. I love my pets dearly, and when i know it is their time, i will help them to have no pain and as term said, leave this world with dignity!! I cannot imagine keeping them just for my happiness. I held each one as they went to sleep. It would have been inhumane for me to let them suffer...

    • I’m sorry for the loss of your beloved pets Angela, Term and Tracy.
We had a cat named Boogie (don’t laugh it was the era). We were never sure how old she was when we got her because she was a stray. But we had her for 21 years. Yep a very long time for a cat or really any animal. She was so loved by all of us and of course she ruled the house. We decided that it was time to put her to rest since at this point she was close to being blind, would hardly eat or go outside.
It was tough but it was tougher to watch her struggle.

    • My husband and I watched it yesterday....I NEVER could have seen it in a theater because I was crying and sniffling away.  I see this every day in the veterinary field - people having to make such difficult decisions for their loved ones...it’s a heartbreaking but very courageous act of unselfish love.  None the less, it’s always very very sad.
