I’m baacckk.

I’m also still trying to go from my sealegs to ground control!

Our son’s wedding went beautifully.  And so did the “grandma” cruise.  Okay, it went beautifully (cruise) because we rolled with whatever the situation threw at us.

I have to say, foodwise-I’m still not impressed with the Carnival Cruise Line.  My daughter got food poisoning from the Pinnacle Steak House.  Because of my dairy allergy, I was delegated to eating either grilled fish or dried out chicken for most of the trip at dinner time.

The other grandma and I got along very well and when we took care of the little ones, we took them to the buffet line so they could chose what they wanted to eat.  The last night-while our “kids” went for a second trip (the incident happened then) to the steakhouse, we opted for going to the pool area with the big screen movie for a showing of the kids movie “G-force” and getting hot dogs and fries with a pair for the kids.  I had a grilled chicken sandwich with a pair as well.

Talk about being good!  I used the jogging trail or the treadmill everyday, stuck to my usual diet and used enough sunscreen that my husband as me if I got out in the sun at all!

More later, but I’ve got over 550 e-mails to wade through!

    • Welcome back Carine.
Glad you had a great time.  At least you got to spend time with your grandchildren, most important thing. Sorry about the food, I do not travel on Carnival Cruises, mainly because of the food and other things.....

    • believe me, I was quite vocal about not wanting to go on this line.  I didn’t like the other 2 we were on.  But my daughter was treating me and for some reason she liked this line-until the boys were treated miserably at Camp Carnival and she got food poisoning.
      I love Celebrity myself.
