Ladies! Does your age affect the way you shop?

Hi All

I’m just starting a new marketing campaign for an online designer jean company. The prices are 50 percent to 70 percent off retail, and they will only be carrying women’s jeans.

Even though women of all ages are into designer jeans, my research, so far, shows that 20 to 30 year old women are less likely to pay full price for designer jeans and look for sales online, compared to women over 30 who are more likely to pay full price and not buy online.

If you would like to help me out please answer these questions.

1. Would you search for designer jeans on sale, or not be bothered searching and pay the higher price.

2. Would you buy designer jeans online, or from a brick and mortar boutique?

3. Would free shipping affect your decision to buy online?

We are also testing a blog design for the pre-launch and would also love to have your feedback on this as well.

Thanks, much appreciate your input.

I always look for the sales

      2. Would you buy designer jeans online, or from a brick and mortar boutique?
I would buy them online as long as there was and exchange policy, just in case.

      3. Would free shipping affect your decision to buy online?
Free shipping would be a major factor in the purchase .

I purchase most of my son’s clothing online. He’s addicted to hollister. I always wait for the free shipping, and with the online sales...we normally find some great deals.

    • 1. Would you search for designer jeans on sale, or not be bothered searching and pay the higher price.  Definately on sale
      2. Would you buy designer jeans online, or from a brick and mortar boutique? If I already owned a pair from that designer I would buy them online. But if not, I first need to try them on before I buy.
      3. Would free shipping affect your decision to buy online? Absolutely!

    • On sale or not on sale doesn’t matter to me as long as they fit.

I would not, however, pay a very high price for jeans. Under $100, ok, but I prefer the 40 - 60 dollar range.

I would not buy jeans online. Trying them on first would be a must for me.

I won’t pay more than $40 for jeans whether they‘re on sale or not.

      2. Would you buy designer jeans online, or from a brick and mortar boutique?

I’ll buy on-line if I know they fit.  If you offer free shipping for returns that don’t fit, I’d buy them in a heart beat.  I don’t like going out shopping.

      3. Would free shipping affect your decision to buy online?

Yes!  Free shipping makes a big difference to me when there are so many companies out there charging exhorbitant shipping and handling fees.

    • Hi,

I never buy designer jeans unless they‘re on Sale “BIG TIME”
if they are over $60.00 I would not buy them.

Since I do like to shop,I would go to a brick and mortar bldg. If they were already a brand that I new fit me well then I would purchase it on line.  Everything comes down to money.

Shipping is something I would not pay for unless I wasn’t charged sales tax and it still came out to a good price

    • my answers are the same as leadingladytracy.  I have to try on jeans.  Now if I find the right pair of jeans, than I will buy additional ones on line, as long as there are no changes in the style, etc.

    • 1. I would search for a sale on designer jeans, but i am also willing to pay the price if they look hot on me.

      2. I would buy online once I knew they were a good fit for me. I can buy seven jeans online since I kn ow how they fit.

      3. Yes, I would buy more online if free shipping. But sometimes shipping costs more than gas and time going to store.

Free shipping is nice so is free returns.

One thing I will say though it was not in your question. I will not consider any jeans with stretch.

    • For me they have to be long. 36 inch inseam at least.

I do not think i have ever paid for shipping as i look for online coupons for that.

A bit of stretch is good, but not the kind you can stretch all over! lol

      Love boot cut...

      I do look for sales.
