Morning Ladies,

Seriously, it can be so liberating and open doors to relief of suppression and being stifled into a little box by a spouse.  I’m finding this out as time goes by, and it isn’t long since I’ve been dumped. Or should I say, traded in for a younger model? Released to freedom?

I had some relief ranting & raving with family and friends and yesterday decided I’m done with that! It doesn’t change it back to not facing divorce, it’s more productive to think of
and do things for After the divorce. Seriously ... how long can we wound ourselves dwell-
ing on the hurt? Because really, the orginal hurt comes from the defecting spouse and it’s
us that add to it with blame, be it on us or Him.

Ok, here’s where my focus lies. I have the rest of my life to live and that is what I need to pay attention to. I have better luck getting a fair settlement and spousal support if I don’t  glue myself to emotional reactions dick wad wants a new life with a 19 year old.

Mind you, after 17 1/2 years with him.... I don’t have the good grace to wish her well. ;o)
What they do unto each other is not my business or problem.

I’m going to be moving after the divorce and settlement, with alimony, and I’ve got visions
of a little cabin all my own! I’m jazzed!

So the only suggestions I want to hear now is new decorating ideas, easy remodeling for a small space, etc.

Thanks for being here for me!

Cathie

    • Someone needs to post one of those great graphics of applauding hands. Cathie, you need a big round of applause.

    • That’s a great attitude! Ppl sometimes they just want to talk about it and keep adding more to it. Just look to the future in a positive way. Good luck!!!

    • Thank you, Ladies!

I am so jazzed to see your responses and I love your attitudes aslo. ;oD  Cynthia, I’ll take a round of applause. LOL  And Abby, I don’t wanna talk about it anymore and letting friends know it. Rehasing the gruesome details ain’t helping any. Melissa, Sweetie.... I realize there is going to be good days and bad days, and I wish to look forward and take it one day at a time now. I have to have faith in my attorney, and I am remembering who is paying her!

Dvora, I am happy for you. Not what I want to think about now for myself, but I like hearing about your happiness. ;o))

Donna, you got me thinking of an important piece of furniture for my new litle cabin! A
pull out sofa bed! It would be a thrill if you could come visit me! I’m a real early riser so my guest would have the bedroom and I’d sleep on the pull out bed.

And thank you, Dianne. I appreciate your support. I’m going to do my best to stick with it and not freak out over any little bump in the road. It has to be about me now, not him or others emotional divorce issues.

      Hugs to all of you!

      Cathie
