One definition of the word influence is :the capacity or power of person(s) or thing(s) to be a compelling force on or produce effects on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc., of others: He used family influence to get the contract.  

It has occurred to me lately that I still have influence unaware. I say unaware because I have and do not intentionally try to persuade others to do anything. And yet there are days and instances when something happens, someone comes to see me and they share with me or they cry with me and it sounds like they want to know how is it that I am so serene and happy. It must be the Christ in me. I have just as many burdens as the next person but I have life and my perceived troubles should never be hoisted on strangers.

A Hispanic women came by my office yesterday and she broke down in tears because from what I could understand she loves my spirit, my workspace and the time I always seem to have for her. She has a 6 month old baby and her next child is a teenager. She hadn’t planned it but she loves the baby, but yet something in her soul is tormented. I will pray for her peace.
