    • 47andtired, I am a firm believer, that God gave me the job and not the employer himself, and I tell myself and others that very often.

I must admit that it is not my chosen profession, but love it nonetheless and can relate to some of your reasons:

Though I work a 40 hour week, I am have flexibility in my daily hours, as long as I have the 40 hours at the end of the week.

I have vacation/sick and great insurance package.

      My duties are exclusive

I have extensive interaction with employees of all levels

The employees under me are a wonderful group and we have a great working relationship.

We get great incentives.  Our latest was an extra 80.00 per check for gas.  If gas keeps falling as it has been lately, that might just discontinue, but for now it’s good while it lasts.

The company is not-for-profit, so the pay is not as lucrative as if I was working in a for-profit, but it is still a good grade.

    • I love my job too because I feel like I’m making a difference toward stamping out disease in our society.  I work at a CRO that conducts clinical trials for other companies. I kinda fell into this field in 1988 and have been there ever since.  I re-enrolled in school so I can help create policy rather than follow them.
