Even if you only remember snippets from your dreams, they could contain invaluable information for you.

I’ve been keeping a dream journal since I could write, and some of the stuff, when I go over it, just blows me away.

Here’s the latest. I’ve been working on personal boundaries, because I tend to be “too sensitive.” I take on other people’s stuff too much, and sometimes it’s just too much.

So the other night, I dreamed I went through the car wash. I mean me - without the car!

I took it to mean that I needed to re-visit my personal boundary work and clean off some of the unnecessary “debris” I was carrying from latching on to other people’s problems too much.

It was great advice, and a wonderful reminder for me.

Often I have a the same dream about having to do tons of sweeping and floor polishing.

That one always makes me think I need to journal about how “clean” (clear?) I’m keeping my life’s foundation (the floor, for me, is the foundation). It’s a reminder to hit the journal and write it out until I get the current issue cleared up.

The main thing we need to remember in dream interpretation is that our symbols are personal to each of us. Don’t buy those big dream symbol books, because they‘re too general. For instance, if I dream of a cat, I’m dreaming about love and innocence. If my friend J. dreams about a cat, he’s probably dreaming about feeling claustrophic and sick, since he’s allergic to them.

I’d love to hear about ways you guys interpret your dreams.

Namaste,
Suzann

    • I dreamed of Andy two days ago and he was with me and my sister, Ivy. He was happy.  We were sitting in a square table, Ivy was at his right, I was on his left.  I asked if he could see well.  He said “kind of blurry” I told him since he was a donor, we donated his cornea.  I touched his arms and they were there.  So I said “it seems like God has restored your limbs.”  He said “that’s ok for the donation.” I asked him how was his day.  He said he went to Stanley (a place in Hong Kong) during day time for camp training and to earn credits.  I asked how come only Ivy and I were able to see him.  He said “God allows him and it is a special arrangement.” I teased him if I had a complaint about him where I should go.  He said “Write a letter, starting with Dear God” I teased him “so now you believe there is a God?” and he smiled and said “Yes”

He was in his last outfit before the cremation - the long sleeve casual wear and jeans.  He was at his age of 18.

My interpretation: He is reassuring me he is fine and happy.

      It is very comforting.

    • Oh my sweet Chinadoll! What a stunning and beautiful dream. It took my breath away, reading it.

And what an awesome writer you are (but I knew that anyway).

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful and, as you say, reassuring dream.

      Namaste,
      Suzann

    • I have always believed that our dreams connect us with our subconscious and reveals what we need to face within ourselves.

It many times does not make sense, at first glance, but taking a good look, sense is there.

Your car wash it too funny!

I don’t dream much anymore??  Not sure if that’s a good thing or not.  Now that you’ve brought it up, wouldn’t be surprised it tomorrow when I awake, I will have something to look at estatic because I KNOW there’s a lot there ha!

For many, many years, I, as a child in the home my mother died at, I would literally float up and down the stairs from the living room to the upstairs.  All I remember is that I would wake up thinking, ‘I had that dream again‘!

I remember ‘people’ telling me my mother & father used to fight allot?? I don’t remember.  I do know that when my mother died, relatives said that day, she had received her separation papers... I guess back than people had to get separation papers before filing for divorce?

So what’s that have to do with the dream?  I’m not sure - rising above ciaos?  Flying / floating as a way of escape from their drama?  Who knows?

Once she did die, my sister and I moved in with my father’s sister & her family of 6 kids.  I remember dreaming that my aunt & uncle had paper bags over their heads and were actually my parents underneath.

People didn’t deal with death very well back then.  Everything was shoved under the rug so...

Obviously, the latter is kind of easy to figure out from a confused child that had basically lost both parents at the same time, but I’ve never forgotten either one of them.

In my 20’s, I used to be really into writing down my dreams and figuring out how they related to what was going on.

    • Interesting! I have plenty of dreams and I know it’s my subconscience telling me something. Sometimes I listen and sometimes I don’t....

    • Wow, Jean, I love your dream of floating up and down the stairs, and that you had that dream a lot. Did you get that “flying” feeling? Rising above the chaos or the drama - oooo, that’s wonderful. And the dream about your aunt and uncle - you really have great dreams!!!! Let us know if you do have a dream tonight, k?

    • Hi Vikki, that’s too cool. Also that you “take what you want and leave the rest” - so you‘re not overwhelmed by too much information.

    • I believe so...I do have a tendency to dream dreams over and over again...feels almost like deja vue...I was told once that that was my past life coming out...kind of makes sense...why the same dream...same place...same time...same people...weird but pretty cool.

    • I think we all have times in our lives when we don’t remember dreams, and times when we do. It’s all perfect for what we need at the time.
