Just weeks ago, twenty five year old child star, Brad Renfro, also known from The Client, was found dead from drug over dose. He has battled a ten yearlong drug addiction that was followed by several encounters with breaking the law.

As if that wasn't enough of, this weeks news reveals the death of yet another actor.
I am appalled at the sudden death of Heath Ledger, a talented actor, shy of his 29th birthday who was found dead just several days ago in his New York apartment from a drug over dose. He was a popular "stud" for many tweens throughout the 2000's, and fulfilled his character roles with the utmost talent. This Australian born actor leaves behind his two-year-old daughter, who he reportedly was extremely close too.

I too was appalled at this young man’s death. What appalled me most was the callous attitude of some of the media and people who said things such as “oh boo hoo, all the money in the world and life was so tough”
Guess what, it must have been-look where he is. And the thought that one of his “friends” would say “I saw it coming“. Then why the h-e-double hockey sticks didn’t you do something? Tell his parents, his siblings, talk to him and get an intervention going????
That would have literally been a life saver, had someone he was close to had an intervention.. so sad. he was so young.
this is what hollywood, the media, and drugs, has done.
As a mother of four kids, ages 14-21, I have just about had it with the media. Everyone always says that this kind of stuff always went on...well, I’m sorry, but at least people were better at keeping it to themselves way back when, and only trying to put their best foot forward (and I don’t mean this towards Mr. Ledger...I was very saddened by his death, and he wasn’t an obvious drug user, as so many of the young people in the media are).
I’m probably going to post something related to this, concerning another young star who was just a little more obvious than Heath...
It’s sad, and such a tragic loss for his child. When it comes to things like this the Media care only for the story; not the aftermath they create.
i feel sorry for a lot of the younger actors and actresses because they are too young to know what to do with all that fame and fortune and i believe that it goes to their head too quick and then the pressure of things get to them and also pier pressure too, does not probably help!
