We are all so busy running around these days I think it’s too easy sometimes to miss miracles that occur around us.  We live so fast.

I have been traveling to Haiti where everything runs at a different pace.  People always say hello to one another, and when they go to church they sing the most joyful songs any of us have ever heard... yet these people would seem to have the most reasons to be sad, fearful and lost in their faith.

My Easter miracle is as follows: I returned from Haiti only two weeks ago and since then I have received hundreds of school uniforms, hundreds of pairs of flip flops, a donation to cover the cost of a comprehensive medical kit, a sizable donation of lice shampoo which is a desperately needed commodity at all orphanages, and a full 50 lbs. of medical supplies and medicines.  I already have more than we can carry in May, but I will return every other month so this is not a problem!

The reason it’s a miracle?  Because word only went out when I got back and for the most part the response has been from strangers I have never met.

It inspires me.  The donations bring me more joy than anything I have ever received personally.  And the Haitian people have more than repaid me for anything I could ever do for them by breathing new life into my faith in God and humanity.

Happy Easter!
