I need your help and I’m hoping one of you beautiful ladies can assist. I am heading out of town and just asked the neighborhood kid to doggiesit for us while we are away. The problem, I have no clue what the going rate would be. So I don’t have a clue how much to pay a teenager. Rex (the dog)has an automatic feeder, so food is no problem. It’s making sure that he has clean, fresh water. Any clues?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    • Last time when we went on vacation I had the neighbor feed our dogs twice a day and give the one dog her medication twice a day.  I paid her $10.00 dollars a day.  We were gone for 11 Days.

    • Hi Rose,

Depends how much work that is. My neighbor paid my daughter also 10 dollars a day, but she only fed and walked him.

    • Is that all he will be doing is giving him clean water? If so, why don’t you get a self waterer? We have one and I swear by it. I would be filling the water bowl 7 times a day without it! LOL

I am sure he will be playing and walking the dog as well. I would guess anywhere from 5 to 10 dollars a day would be fair. JMO

    • Thank you ladies SO much. This is very helpful. I love the idea about the self waterer but we already asked him and he already said yes. We will just need him to check and make sure he has water. He has plenty of room to run around the back yard. Again, thank you each for your input. You are lifesavers.

Have a fantastic rest of the week!

    • WOW!  Guess Ive been lucky.  We have neighbors with whom we trade ‘services‘.  When we are away, they come over and feed & care for our dog and two cats.  We do the same for their dog & cat when they are away.  No money exchanges hands....just good will and being neighborly.

I used to pet sit for people for extended periods of time when I was in my youth and never got paid!  I just lived in their house...it was like a vacation for me...and my room mate!

Looks like I’ve had it lucky!

    • So sorry everone! I’m not sure what happened. I hit the sent button but it wouldn’t take it...guess it took!

Trudy!!! Hi, I’m also with Isagenix. I had phenomenal results with both my weight and my health. And I’m also VERY successful in the business. I have no previous experience in the industry yet, I have a HUGE team. I totally enjoy helping others create 6 figures from home while getting their health back. I am looking forward to hearing your success with Isagenix.

As for neighbors, I know exactly what you mean. We did the exact same thing with our previous neighbors. Unfortunately, they moved away and we just got new neighbors. We invited them over for dinner and they mentioned their boys used to dogsit. So we didn’t feel it was right to have them watch our dog, right away, without compensating them. I’m sure as we get to know each other better we will do the neighborly thing and take care of each other pets. They have two cats!!!

    • EXCELLENT!  I hope you will join the Isagenix Group here at Fab 40 and share your experience.  I am not too heavily into the business side right now but I continue to share the products with my friends and family ...my cousin Michael just signed up to change his life last night

I’d love any coaching you have to share too!
