Being in NYC was such an amazing experience with various meetings and events to attend. Almost every day was filled with many, many activities.

I was so lucky while in NYC to see the closing performance of Mountaintop, starring Angela Bassett and Samuel L. Jackson at the Bernard B Jacobs Theatre. Not only were we invited backstage to meet Ms Bassett personally, she decided to have dinner with us and that was so unexpected! Her performance as Camae, a special angel sent to usher Martin Luther King, Jr back to the "Other Side", was sensational and heart wrenching. As you can see, I am wearing no makeup because I cried it off during her very moving performance.

Another event took place at Carnegie Hall and yes, the venue was like sitting inside a wedding cake. [Link Removed]were impassioned ambassadors for the American Cancer Society as they introduced Lola Astanova, a Russian pianist making her Carnegie debut. Even though NYC weather was very cold, damp and blustery, the event was a sold out affair.
