I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 6 months ago. They put me on Lyrica and it worked great, only I packed on about 15 pounds in a week or two. It also made me sleepwalk, sit up in bed and yell at my husband, calling him ex’s names and telling him to get the f*ck out, and have an appetite like I did when I was pregnant!
I tried cymbalta, no help, went back on lyrica at a lower dose, and now skip a day or two cause of the weight issue. I can lose 10 pounds in a week, so it must be water, right? Does anyone have any advice on the weight control end of it? Or how to lose water weight quickly? I’m going on vacation in 3 days and I just blew up like a balloon 2 days ago...
You just reminded me...when I was taking Lyrica I ate in my sleep too. One morning my husband and I woke up and there were fig newtons squished in bed with us!
The only thing that I can think of is asking your Doctor about taking a water pill. I don’t know if it would be safe or not, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask!

OMG, that is too funny, but I can relate! We thought we had a poltergiest, things were moved around, the garage door would be open when we got up, finally one night I got up and my husband was awake. I told him I had to take my medicine and took a bunch of pills! It was then that we realized that I was sleepwalking! Luckily I took regular doses of things, not handfuls!
I’m going to go buy some water pills, I’ve tried them before, but I’m getting desparate!
