We live in the country on 3 acres of ground. On this 3 acres my husband, who is big into golfing, made a little driving range so that he could practice.  Many years ago,  out of guilt I think, he bought me a set of golf clubs. The idea behind this was to relieve his mind because he played golf all the time and I took care of our 4 children. Like I had time to play golf. Maybe I could squeeze it in among ball practice, cheerleading, house cleaning, doctor appointments, PTA etc.. Well the clubs set for a long time until kids got to a point where I could find time to give golf ago.
My husband started working with me having me practice swinging on our mini-driving range. I practiced, and practiced and practiced but it seemed he never could find time to go with me to the golf course. Finally I told him I thought it was time to get on the golf course and out of the backyard!!
So off to the golf course we went. Well our first couple of outings were a disaster. He being a perfectionist when it comes to golf had difficulty trying to play and teach me about the golf course rules and golf etiquette. And it was back to the back yard for me and practice, practice, practice.
This year I decided that it was time to get out of the back yard and joined the woman’s golf league at the local golf course.  Today is my first outing on my own and out of the back yard!!
