I know you’ve been waiting for me to add some more here and it’s way overdue, here goes.

So now you’ve been starting your day off thanking God and loving yourself. That’s fabulous! You know I could just give you a quick fix, list 10 Ways to find your mid-life mojo, but there are other blogs here that can give you the same thing, so that’s easy enough.

I want to address what really bugs you and makes you slide into a slump. One key area is having to deal with guilt. Yes guilt. When you look back at all those times that you did or did not do something that made you feel guilty, these feelings can really oppress you or should I say suppress you. Those days that you just threw together dreary sandwiches instead of cooking a good meal for the kids because you just didn’t feel like it. Those nights when you rolled over and pleaded the timeless headache when your husband wanted some honey. Those times when a friend needed you to listen but you were too busy to give her the time. And so many other times where you didn’t step up and you’ve felt guilty.  

Yes you might have been able to forget some but a lot of times you‘re still holding on. You have to come to grips with yourself that it’s in the past and you can’t always expect to be perfect (Lord knows I’ve tried the perfect woman bit. So another exercise: the rag doll. Let go of yourself and just fall on the floor or bed (whichever is comfortable) and bring yourself up slowly, then shake yourself around like a rag doll (not too hard. When you‘re done take a deep breath and exhale and say to yourself, “Hey I’m not that bad, enough of the guilt already“. This will surely put a big smile on your face. Go ahead and laugh out loud, it will invigorate you. You are beautiful and I’m keeping it real here.
