I really love a good flower garden and I really do believe that flowers do help with depression and fighting the blues off. My mother still swears by her flowers whenever she is feeling down and blue and some scientific research on flowers do prove they have a sorta life of their own. I remember the flowers my mother grew and it even seemed that the ones that were complimented on by people grew the best and looked their prettiest, whereas strangely enough as it sounds, there were some others that people would come around and make certain comments such as that one not being such a pretty flower or not as pretty as the others. Sure as the world, that flower seemed to just wilt down for really no reason as it was taken just as good care of as the other flowers.
I think they are all pretty, although some of my favorites are coneflowers as they are a healing plant. Purple Coneflowers are the regular name for them, but echinecea is the technical name and if you ever have some echinecea tea, just remember you are taking care of your immune system. I always drink that tea, and especially when colds are going around. It works too.
When it comes to looks, you just don’t get any prettier than the lisianthas though or lisas as I refer to them for short. They are gorgeous and the purple poppies were so pretty too. Not to forget the trees either. The red myrtle bush was quite the attention-getter and then there was the smoketree. I can never forget the pink flowering dogwood though
I took some photographs of this year and here the flowers make their debut on my mousepads. But, sshh, please don’t tell them that I have spoke of some being prettier than others. They are all unique in their own way and we wouldn’t want to offend any of them:
