Update to “The Gray Report”

It’s finally grown out completely. Let me start out with: It’s shocking, but I LOVE it! Who knew it would turn out to be this shimmering white/silver color? I’m so excited I just look in mirrors, spoons, shop windows for reflections, anything.

Crazy, right? I guess I’m completely out of touch with the youth culture that is America. But you know what? Who cares? I’m single, and my cat certainly has no problem with it. When I’m ready to date again, I plan to go to one of the on-line services that ask you a lot of questions, and I’ll just put on there, I want a man who doesn’t have a problem with a woman with white hair. If there are none out there, so be it. I’ll get another cat.

It took months for the henna to grow out. But the advantage of having used the henna for so long is that as it did grow out, there was no “line” where the red ended and the white began. The henna faded nicely, and blended subtly until it was grown out.

It’s so great not to worry about roots anymore! For the first time in my life, I’m having fun with my hair instead of worrying about it all the time and buying color protection shampoo.

I’ve got to tell you all: I love getting older. (I could do without the neck issues, but I’ll obsess about that if I start dating again!)
