Last week was a special week for me.  I had two reunions with friends I hadn’t seen in years.

The first one was with my best friend from high school, Therese.  I had not seen her in over 10 years.  She lives in Canada now with her two girls.  She came down to the DC area to participate in a Child Abuse March.  We met for lunch and then we went to a local park.  It was great to see her again and catch up!

The second one was with a friend I had met in the local MOMS Club in Alexandria.  Marion’s daughter and my son were in the same playgroup when they were toddlers.  The last time I saw her was at my baby shower for Jack, my youngest which was 5 years ago.  We had dinner with her and her kids while we were down in Williamsburg.  She met Jack on his birthday!  She now lives in Williamsburg with her family and said we could stay with her when we come down.  And hopefully we will be back down later this summer.  There’s lots to do in Williamsburg!

I just feel really blessed to have been able to see my friends after such a long time.  Therese and I had talked about it for a while and at times, it just seemed like it would never happen.  But it did.  Life is funny like that.

There are other friends I haven’t seen in a while and I hope to have a reunion with them sometime soon.

Reunions are one of life’s sweetest pleasures.estatic

    • Glad to hear you had a wonderful meet-up. You are so right, and it is rewarding to catch up with those that meant a lot in your life.  I hope to reconnect with a couple of friends from my hometown in the near future.estatic

    • That is awesome... I beside had a similar occurrence.. My best friend from childhood got married young and we kind of went out separate ways.. still keeping in touch but not seeing each other for almost 20 years... She came down and we went and had a girl weekend in a bed and breakfast in beaufort sc it was so much fun spending the weekend with her and catching up.. she brought high school annuals with her and we both brought photos so we could catch up on times we had missed being together and old times as well.. it was so great reminising.  Cant wait to get to do it again...
