Okay...so the past week or so I have jumped off the roller coaster of losing weight.  Yep...I sort of jumped out when it was going slow....and now I’m trying to catch a car to jump back into so I can ride it some more.  Weight loss is like a roller coaster ride.  You go up and then you go down....and sometimes....the track is just straight...no little or big hills....but just straight.  I think when you are going straight...(like a plateu) ...the ride slows down and that is when you have this huge urge to just jump off because it’s not going fast enough for you.

This morning I received such an inspirational message from UKGirl that it almost made me cry.  And that’s hard to do sometimes.  I loved it’s introduction....“Mary darling“...and she proceeded to tell ME how I had been an inspiration to HER.  She mentioned about Sparkpeople.com that we have been members of for quite a while and how she wanted me to blog about how I have lost the weight so far. She also mentioned that she could tell in my face in my new profile pic that I had lost.  She telling me THAT just made my day and instead of ME inspiring her...she majorly inspired ME ...and helped me get back into that car of the roller coaster ride of losing weight.

This is what being a part of a weight loss group does for you.  When you have people supporting you...helping you...encouraging you along the way....making you stay on the ride....that is when you achieve true success.  We all have to do our part to make it happen but when everybody is behind you...it sure makes the ride more interesting and a lot easier!! Your support group helps you stay focused..and thanks to Annie and Vikki and UKGirl...and I’ll take some credit too...ME...estatic for putting together our Fabbers Against Flab support group on Sparkpeople.com.  Thank you ladies for your support...encouragement...kind words...they mean so much.

Now that I’m back on the ride....I’m going to stay on....with a little help of my friends....

    • Mary we are all in this together – in our youth which we took for granted we could drop a few pounds at the drop of a hat literally – just think thin and hey we were.
Now in our 40's the pounds pile on not drop off and it's harder. So it's easier if your with people who all have the same problem and you can share them and just chat about what works and what doesn't ...........
We all need each other ..... Mary inspired me with her picture as it's obvious she has lost weight and it spurred me onto get my act together ..... so let's all fight the battle of the bulge together

    • I can soooo relate to your blog Mary.

I must of lost the same 20 lbs at least a hundred times.

I’m not a big fan of logging in my food, but Annie made me do it estatic, l go to Spark few times a day and add my food, it’s all about staying on track, and having the support of others.

What never stops to amaze me, is how I’m consistently inconsistent when it comes to food and exercise, the only two areas of my life that I can not get a grip on.

So thanks to all of my weight buddy’s for keeping me in check.

      Have a fantastic day.

    • I know I sound sappy when I say this stuff but I’m forever amazed at the power of friendship among the women on this site. Near strangers, some of us will someday meet in person and some of us won’t but it doesn’t matter. We‘re connected to one another through our hearts and that is the way the support for each other comes.

I’ve resisted Spark People since I joined but now I’m going to learn my way around that site and be a part of the team.
