Hello everyone,

How would you like to use all natural, organic, and green products for your face, make-up, body, perfume, lotions, etc.?

I ask you that because there are items out there, you don’t have to make that are of quality and they look beautiful and smell amazing and are simply remarkable.  I want to educate you on the line I love but others that have similar lines, I would love to interview and showcase.

What if you found mineral make-up with no harsh chemicals, dyes, preservatives, animal testing, irritants, talc, bismuth, fragrance, and is hypo-allergenice?  Cute eh?  What if I told you it was 100% pure minerals.  Excellent coverage for all complexions and it is endorse by a doctor?

This make-up is a natural, plant-derived line for the health-conscious and should be used by everyone to preserve the health of the skin.  The pure minerals include mica, titanium dioxide, and iron oxides.

If you don’t know how mineral make-up works and what all the hoopla is about, I will share with you.  Unlike the make-up you may have used in the past, mineral make-up warms up and blends with the natural oils of your skin, reflecting the light rather than absorbing it. Be sure to wait a few minutes after applying it before determining which shade is right for you.  You can still use concealer, which is best blended when from the same line and all natural, of course.

Then there are some people who use mineral make-up and find their skin and complexion problems are being corrected.

Lips, eyes, cheeks, and foundations come in more natural shades so you glow rather than gloss, shine and look all done up.  They blend in well to enhance your beauty and make your beauty more natural and dare I say, everyday...normal even.

Natural beauty, natural products, for a natural you!  Every day, all day.

So what brands of mineral make-up to you use that are 100% natural?

Go Green Girl

    • I have tried bare essentials. I like the mineral makeup much better than the liquid. Much more natural and lets my skin breathe.

    • I’ve tried the mineral foundation.  For me, I have a hard time with any foundation not being obvious.  I have a lot of peach fuzz on my face and it just make the foundation show more.  I have been focusing on moisturizers and evening skin tone so that I don’t need a foundation.

    • Yeah Paris!

lvn4me...hmmm I understand.  Sometimes that is a issue and we may have to focus more on just the natural skin care and not mineral make-up.

My answer is a resounding YES!!!!

About 6 weeks ago I slowly started switching to less toxic products. I started with the what I use most, shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen - I am also trying to use fewer products. It is all about balance for me.

Regarding mineral make-up, it is hard to find things that truly non-toxic. Many have dyes and fragrance or parabens. But what frightens me are all these nano-particles.  Titanium dioxide may be natural ( as is lead ) but in very small sized particles, it may cross into the bloodstream and accumulate in organs. No one knows the long term effects of this. I know that I don’t want zinc or titanium in my brain or my children’s brains.

I love the skin deep website that ranks make up and personal products by toxicity levels. I am using it as a guide as I switch over.

    • Great.  Are you talking about the MSDS or something else?

As far as lines, here are a list to check out.

[Link Removed] (click order now and you can find the mineral make-up on the next page)

      Then there’s:
      Afterglow Cosmetics
      Alima Cosmetics
      BareMinerals

      Hope this helps.

    • gogreen,

I don’t know if you addressed your last message to me or not, but just in case - I don’t know what MSDS is. I was referring to www.cosmeticdatabase.com. It really is wonderful.

I did al ot of research on BareMinerals ( by Bare Escetuals ) and the only thing that is 100% natural is their Mineral Veil. I even called the company and spoke to someone at Sephora to get the list of ingredients.

But as I eluded to before, it is still better than the products on the market that are loaded with junk. We may not be able to get away completely from ALL of it, but getting away from some would be fantastic.

      Great Blog !
