Awhile ago I bought some of Lucinda’s candles. I gave most away as gifts while I was on vacation but I kept a couple for myself.

Right now I’m burning the ginger peach and it’s filling my house with such a wonderful smell!!! No matter what room I’m in downstairs, the fragrance is there just wafting through. It has lifted my spirits.

So I had an idea.

I got on my knees in front of that candle and prayed. I’ve been so busy this season that I’ve only logged on and off periodically and fairly briefly on this site. But, I’ve read of so many of our members going through difficulty with loss of work, illness, unfair treatment, businesses being started, cross country moves, the list goes on. So I prayed in front of that candle. I’m going to let that candle burn all day. I’m going to go back and pray in front of it during the day as I remember members who need prayer.

Now, I’m usually fairly private about my religious beliefs but over the past several days I’ve had some awarenesses. And, I’ve been really exhausted. Exhaustion usually makes me emotional. Being emotional makes me reflective. It really hit me. I’ve been given a tremendous gift. I am truly blessed in my life. I’ve been remiss in saying thank you to He who is responsible for all the good in my life.

Hmm. Maybe I have the makings of a good New Years Resolution here.

See what a nice smelling candle cand bring on?

    • You know generally in most religious beliefs, burning candles or incense, taught me that prayers are ascended with the smoke to heaven.  Thank you for the light and candle fragrance, I can see and smell even from a very long distance.

    • What a beautiful blog, Cynthia.

I hope the beautiful scent and the return of your prayers is that you find some time for you, to rest your mind, your body and your spirit.

      You deserve it!!

    • What a beautiful blog! And a great way to remember to pray. I will pray for you as you struggle through this busy time, and that you will enjoy a bit of an 'eye of the storm' before February is upon you. Even though it is a good thing for business to be booming, I know this time of the year can be so exhausting (especially if you are obligated to go to events and functions.)
May I send you some soap so you can pray for Hannah's little business while you wash away your worries?estatic
I know I said I wasn’t going to be sending out anymore for a few weeks on my blog, but you were already on my list. hehe as was Chinadoll and Darla. That gives us 23 sample testers. I am overwhelmed by the support and encouragement.
      And now prayers... very humbling!

    • Ditto Linni,
There are a group of cornerstones here that have given me such great strength. The support has been amazing. I love you guys so much! I think we can all see in our mind's eye who our cornerstones are. I am thinking of Josh Groban singing You Lift Me Up right now - and though I know ultimately that song is talking about God, He absolutely uses people to do the lifting. I am so thankful that we can help each other rise up higher than we ever thought possible. If you don't know the song - go to youtube. One day, I'll get my player copied to my profile. LOL Too much to do and not enough time!
      Let’s all cry together. estatic
