I am proud of myself today because I went to the gym and didn’t over do it.

I’ve decided that there’s no point in being impatient with my recovery. It’s only frustrating. I have recovered quite a bit in three months and I have to look at the progress I’ve made instead of what’s left to do. I decided to be gentle with myself and stop bickering about how much weight I’ve gained- which isn’t that much anyway- and what I cannot still do. From now on I’ll enjoy the ride. Instead of running in the park every morning I’ll go walking. I’ll find new ways of spending my energy without hurting myself. And the day will come when I will climb, run and bike again like I use to.

Already there are positive effects of my new resolution. Not longer than this morning did my hubby tell me that I am so beautiful when I am happy. What a wonderful compliment to start the day!

So, I’m sending you all a big smile and lots of love and hope you have a wonderful day too!
