I attend a church called Truenorth Church right here in North Augusta.  We are a contemporary (southern Baptist) church but if you attended you would think we were almost non-denominational. I love my church because it's not about the building (which we meet at one of our local high schools auditorium and have for the past 5 1/2 years) and it's not about dressing all up...it's about come as you are.  We don't care if you're an alcoholic...we don't care if you're a drug addict.....we don't care if you've lived a not so good life.  We are all sinners and will continue to be sinners.  But in our day to day lives we are instructed by God to be more like Him everyday.  Will we ever succeed?  No....we will always fall short of the grace of God....but it's because of His wonderful GRACE that we will live eternally with Him...but we have to accept that GRACE.  That's all.  We as Christians are instructed to love everyone...no matter what you've done...what your outlook on life is....what you believe in....whatever....we are instructed to love...and to forgive. Is it hard to do sometimes?  Absolutely...we are humans.  But God forgives us every single day if we ask.  That to me is just amazing...that I can screw up...maybe say the wrong the thing....DO the wrong thing....THINK the wrong things...and when I realize what I've said or done or thought...all I have to do is ask Him for forgiveness and He forgives me. He still LOVES ME...even when I screw up.  We sort of do that with our own children.  They can really make us mad...screw up..make some wrong choices...but despite that...WE STILL LOVE THEM.  This really wasn't where I was going with this blog...all of this just came out...LOL.  My main objective was to post the website to our church.  We are doing a series called "18". It is approximately 18 inches from your heart to your brain...give or take a few. I strongly encourage you to watch this series (no matter what your faith is)...what you believe...it's just a great series with dealing with LIFE period.
So far...as of today...the message for Jan. 18th is on there which is Reap What You Sow. It's a very good message and gives food for thought.
This past Sunday...Jay and Laura Knotts who are members of my church give a POWERFUL video of the pains of life.  Jay is one of our ministers and is a awesome Christian counselor.  Laura his wife is a local pharmacist.  They have a precious two year old named Carrington.  Laura and Jay lost their baby a week before Christmas last month at delivery.  It was just awful.  About 4 years ago...Laura’s father was shot and killed at a local Huddle House here in North Augusta by a man that when on a random shooting spree..killing her father and injuring another man.  Their story is something we all need to hear.

I hope you will take the time to watch. This past Sunday's with Laura and Jay has not been posted yet but just keep checking...it will. I felt very led to post this blog this morning....and I hope it all speaks to you. Thank you.
