I have had a great weekend! I have basked in the moment and did not get caught up in what could have been or should have been but just in the what is and I enjoyed it. I guess you can say I have been living from moment to moment this weekend and it has been very satisfying.

 *_ Friday_ *
It started with Friday. I was off Friday to attend a football game that actually ended up being Saturday at 2 pm. But no harm no foul because I still had the day off and I would make the best of it. I called my stylist and checked if she could do my hair and she could. My appt was 8am, which was okay the sooner the better I thought. My appt ran over because my stylist and I had to catch up with each other. She is a true inspiration because with all she has going on she still manages to smile and enjoy life. So I throughly enjoyed our visit even though she was working.

Once I was all styled my husband suggested that we do a late lunch, too early for dinner but later than lunch time. It was deciced that we would try a new eatry in the area. It is more like a fast food place but with a Chinese twist. Anyway the food was different. The shirmp I had was pretty good it had a spicy taste to it. The fried rice was hard and dry. I don’t have to eat the rice anymore. But all in all the food was okay. I would visit again. The most enjoyable part about it all was that I was out having lunch with my husband on a day when I am ususally at work. This was the BEST!

My husband and I got up early to drive to my daughter’s school for homecoming. She attends UT Martin of TN. It is approximately a 2 and half hour drive from where we live. We got breakfast and went to the store. Of course Z. needed some items before we got there but the snacks she requested we could not find. We resigned to the idea of visiting the Walmart near the school.

We got there an hour early. We had enough time to take Z to the store to pick up a few items that she needed. Off to Walmart we go. We finished shopping within the hour needed but of course Z wanted to put up her food before we went to the football game. J was excited to attend the game because he was anticipating meeting all of his old football buddies. You see UT Martin is J’s alma mater as well.

We finally made it to the game about 45 minutes into the game and J immediately was off to find old friends. I grabed Z by arm and told her it would just her and I together. We sat in the bleachers together having a great time. She was pointing out various friends and filling me in with all the little gossip that surrounded them. While I was laughing at Z and some of her stories, I felt a drop of water on my hand. I thought where did this water come from? I looked around but no more water. A few minutes later I felt some more water. All of a sudden a large group of people began coming from the top of the bleachers. This was happening from all of the sections. I wondered what is going on? I felt another drop. Then it clicked it is beginning to rain and I did not have an umbrella. I grabbed Z and told her lets go. I did not want to get wet because I had just got my hair done.

Needless to say we left just in time. It began pouring down and we just missed it. I was sad for J because he had to leave abruptly and did not to see the whole game but I was not for getting wet. It was like a mad house trying to get out of there. Evidently everyone had the same idea. No umbrella’s and the refusal of watching the game in the rain. We took Z to get something to eat and we would head for home.

On our way home it rained and the weather had turned brezzy. Once we made it to Jackson we decided to stop and get something to eat. We stop at one of the local restaurants that we do not have in our area. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice. We enjoyed ourselves. We laughed and talked and enjoyed ourselves. This was one of the first times we just didnt rush back home when we leave from Martin. It rained and we just enjoyed each other’s company.

We started for home.

I awoke feeling refreshed and relaxed. J made breakfast and brought it to me in bed. You know that was the best! He also made dinner. I am batting a thousand!

I have had a graat weekend! I hope you are enjoying yours too.
