I have to share...I have a guilty passion and I fear it could form a dangerous addiction. I am hooked on Guitar Hero 3!!!

I have always loved music, especially rock music, and in my fantasies (and almost once in reality) I would have had a career in the music business. I consider myself musical and am often told that I have a great singing voice. I haven’t played a musical instrument since I was a child..but learning one is on my list of things to do.

My husband bought me (yes, me...not the children) Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii and I absolutely love it. I get to play along with some awesome rock tracks while my fingers fly over the keys. I even find my body moving around the living room in some sort of crazy rock performer stance. My twelve year old watched me play last night and sat on the sofa with her mouth wide open. “Mum, you were AWESOME” she said once I had reached the end of a particularly tricky track (Knights of Cydonia by Muse for anyone interested).

I have only been playing for a week but I see myself getting better and faster every day. Am I alone? Are there other Fabulously 40 friends out there who have found their inner Rock Godess?
