This is a day that is set aside to remember those that have passed on. I have been having thoughts about my parents, whom both have passed on. Today my sister and I were in the mall and I saw the store “Bath & Body Works“, which was a favorite store of hers. I would always buy her the “JUniper” fragrance gift sets. As I looked over at the store I couldn’t help but miss her dearly.
So far, I’m doing extremely well, I have not cried once today.... But it is awfully hard. I spent the day with my aunts, my mother’s sisters, which I really enjoyed them and had a nice time. Being around family keeps me from feeling lonely. My oldest son moved out on his own about 5 yrs ago and now lives in Alabama (about 3 hrs away), and my 13 yr old son is visiting relatives in Alabama, so I’m home alone for the next few weeks. I will use this time to take care of me, go out and have some fun, at least that’s my plan.
With my parents gone, family gatherings just don’t seem the same, sometimes I find myself avoiding them. Sometimes I find comfort in being around my family.
Well, on this day, I memorialized my parents and I’m good.

- I thought it would be a hard day today as I thought I would be crying for the loss of my son. It turned out pretty good. I visited the grave site and a piper happened to play a piece of music just 10 steps away from me. I planted flowers and the fountain is turned on. I was with my parents and we were glad we selected that spot for my son.

- I with you too Monikoko! I lost my mom 4 years ago and everytime I walk past a “Talbot’s” store I think of her and how much she loved that store. She kept them in business!
