Happy Mom’s Day to everyone!

I don’t know about all of you-but I was expecting a bit more pampering.

At 6 a.m. our cat dropped one of his treasured balls of paper on my face to play fetch with-and to bug his sister.  Once she roused, Lucky realized that she had to go out.

Somehow I managed to go back to sleep until hubby’s alarm woke us up at 7.  He asked for waffles for breakfast!

Guess I was too tired to refuse.  Made the waffles, the coffee and washed the blackberries.  Set the table and packed his lunch.

In all fairness, he did shower and strip the sheets off the bed.  I started the load and retrieved the newspaper.

After he left, I walked Lucky.  Not an easy feat, as it was 82 degrees with “blustering” winds.  Lucky reminded me that she’s the baby and refused to walk after the first mile.

Thank goodness she’s six pounds.

The girls are helping with our dual celebration:  Mother’s Day, of course and Sam and Adam’s 4th anniversary.  Plus-this is Sam’s first official Mom’s Day!!

Our menu:  Roasted crown of pork, mashed potatoes and kale salad.  Dessert?  Sam and I put our heads together-her mom bought her one of those machines that makes any fruit into soft serve “ice cream“.  I bought angel food cake loaves, chocolate syrup and whipped cream.  It’s a “make your own ice cream cake” bar!

Hope you all have a wonderful and pampered day!  Oh, I’m telling the 5 gentlemen that they will be doing the clean-up.
