Hey gals,

I thought I would share my day so far. Can you say, Should of stayed in bed?

I wake up this morning early  to my Chocolate lab, Charlie crying to go out early this morning in the rain.

I get a call from my husband who wanted to tell me if the insurance company calls me he wanted me to know he was alright. Don and another guy are traveling in state today and a deer ran out in front of him and WHACK hit the car. I asked , “Is the deer ok?” Don said, “No Darla she is dead and hey, I am ok too.” Haha The car is messed up pretty bad. I said , “Poor deer”  He started laughing and said to the guy with him, “she cares about the deer more than us.” I said, “Oh, no baby, I meant poor dear.” He said sure.

2nd- my brand new make- up dropped in the floor this morning and crashed and burned. It broke in a million pieces. Don’t you just hate when that happens?

My new Treo quit working. My daughter was  in tears when she got home because she could not get in touch with me and was so worried that something happened to me. I got this lecture ... I called the house and no answer, I called your cell and no answer, I called your other cell and no answer.

I had the back up phone in my purse but I did not hear it ring. She was in panic stage.

Oh, and one of our offers we have been working on has just gone south.

So, it is 2:30pm and I am back home. I think I am going to pour a glass of wine, It is after 12:00 so I will not feel like a lush. Sit back and relax and hibernate for the rest of the day.

Now, I must find some chocolate. I always say is there anything it can’t fix???

And as for drinking wine at 2:30, well, it’s 5:00 somewhere!

      Happy Hour may officially commense.

I’m sorry you had a day like this. I’m betting the cosmetics were Chanel!

I hope your evening is better and tomorrow is grand!

The liquid caramel is described as dark chocolate leaves give way to a river of liquid caramel spilling out on your tongue.

Ashley, just said on my gosh...She just swiped one.

I must be living right....what a great surprise to a bad day.

I’m sooo glad. Ok, now the happy hour can commense!

The glass of wine didn’t sound half bad either.

Darla, sounds like your day just got better.  Enjoy.

    • Oh, Darla Dear, there is nothing like sharing in the suffering of a friend to lighten one’s heart! lol! I have had a couple of days running like that!

It started with realizing (through an email) that I had missed music practice on Tues evening. So, of course, I replied with my sincerest apologies and assured them that I was definitely doing the song Sunday morning. Then after a chaotic Wednesday I was to take my little 4 year old grandson home to his mommy. I was to meet her halfway, an hour from here. But his step mom forgot to bring his bag. No prob, she gives me the key to her place and says "leave the key in the ".

Well, I was 15 minutes out of town before I realized I forgot to get the bag and leave the key! Now she cannot go home without her key, so I get turned around and go back to town. Get the bag, and back on the road. The rest of that trip was uneventful.

I get home and discover that the dog has gotten in to the trash and it’s scattered about the garage. it’s late, I’m tired, and I leave the mess for our son. BUT...the this morning the dog has had diarrhea from something he’s eaten from the trash! And I have to clean it up before I can back out my car!

I listen to a lovely song all the way to work to calm my spirit, Be Still and Know. Yes, I’m much better by the time I get to work.

When I get inside I put my lunch in the fridge, which I notice has no light. And is no longer cold. I’m beginning to growl again. I enter my office and find I can’t get my computer to turn on. Now I’m beginning to melt down.

I notice the computer is unplugged. how it got that way, I’ve no idea. But who cares, it’s an easy fix. The house manager comes down to check out the fridge problem and it turns out to be a bad power strip. She gets a new one and problem solved.

      Grandson is home safe
Daughter in law has access to her apartment
      Dog is not dying
      Computer is fine
      Refrigerator is chillin’

“Be still and know that I am God“. I’m listening.

Darla, you are not alone! :o)
      Cindy

    • Wish you were here Darla, I'd share some of the Almond Tequila we brought back from Mexico. It would go great with chocolate. In fact, I think I am going to use some to make a chocolate cake! :) I usually use Kahlua but I think this will taste better.
Maybe I need some tonight after getting Clay packed up and on the road. Ya'll will be seeing alot of me in the late evenings! :)

    • Girls, Thank you so much for your kind words and support. I don't think I have ever written about a bad day. I usually concentrate on somebody else or some thing  to get my mind off of me.

I feel so much better sharing time with all of you.

I do have a question...  Is it wrong to want to not share my chocolate??? My family is going crazy over it. I am smiling and sharing and  trying to think how to hide it at the same time. hahahahahha
