There is  difference between a  healthy self esteem and conceit. I am amazed how many women still suffer from lack of confidence.

Since I hit the forties decade I have made a vowel to feed myself good positive thoughts on a daily basis. I search for them on the web, read tons of books and it is amazing the transformation that can occur when we change our mindset.

I am a firm believer in Garbage in... Garbage out. I have a totally different outlook on my life and in the way I see things.  I had to make some real changes. I believe a positive outlook is contagious. What can others catch from you?

Below is a great article.

Did you know that your self esteem is continually being readjusted according to your inner beliefs? Having a low self esteem can be detrimental to virtually every part of your life, your health, your relationships and even your career, so in this article I'd like to give you some tips to help you take control of this process and boost your self esteem.

In just the same way that top athletes continually need to strengthen their muscles with regular exercise, so your self esteem also needs to be kept in tip top condition on a regular daily basis. Here are just a few tips to help you on your way to having a strong and vibrant self esteem.

1. Become more aware of your negative self-talk and aim to avoid self depreciating comments which can drag you down. You cannot develop a high self esteem if you have persistently self depreciating mental chatter.

2. Accept compliments with gratitude. Ask yourself, when was the last time you said a heart felt 'thank you" in response to a compliment? After all if you continually reject compliments you give yourself the message that you are not worthy of praise.

3. Keep company with positive people. If you find yourself surrounded by negative people who don't value you, or who constantly pull you down, your self esteem will eventually get worn down.

4. Be your own inner movie director. Aim to set aside just a few minutes each day to mentally rehearse a positive outcome for yourself . Make sure that you stimulate all aspects of your creative imagination with this powerful technique.

5. Make list of all your positive traits and remind yourself of them often. Don't be shy. Each day select one of these qualities and celebrate it.

6. Give yourself positive feedback and credit for making even small but positive changes in your life. Celebrate your successes, even the tiny ones.

7. Take some time to make a note of at least 10 positive qualities about yourself. Don't just go for the obvious things that other people may notice, include everything. Your positive qualities are just as real as the negative ones, and often it just becomes a habit to focus on what's negative, so if this is the case for you, resolve to change that habit now.

Paying attention to anything that makes you feel strong, successful and good about yourself will help to build up your vibration of success. With practice, these simple steps can become a regular habit for you and after all why shouldn't you feel proud of yourself!
