How are you all? I am very good! Yesterday we went to NYC with our 5 kids. Had a great day. Teeky, we ended up going on the  NJ transit train because the bus upped their prices for the holdiay season. It literally was the same price either way . My hubby is a “train” guy so we went that way. But my daughters and i are going to go that way this summer. We like to go up and see the museums and stuff. Anyway...we walked and walked and walked...we were there for 12 hours and  went from 34th street to Central Park , walked all through Central park, went to the John Lennon Memorial, to the ice skating rink,  My 20 year old daughter, 13 year old son and I rode the carousel in Central Park. Then from Central park all the way down 5th Avenue back to Madison square garden to take the train back home. We looked in all the store windows, even went in a few. Went to Rockefeller Center, into NBC. Had pizza in a nice little place on 37th between 6th and 5th called Mondellos...I recommend it if you are ever there. Went to Times Square, into Toy’s R Us and Virgin Records. I spent a good bit of time in St. Pats Cathedral, praying, reflecting... and lit a few candles. It was a great day! The entire day didn’t cost much more than trainfare and pizza. The older kids all paid their own way, it was their idea. We offered but they kicked in and i am so proud of them and grateful for that! We were home by half time of the Eagles game. Tired, worn out, sore feet, but new great memories!
I had a crazy weekend, i still do not have my laptop soon as i do i will be here more ...then i can pop on when i am in bed and stuff. I pray I find the $$$ to be able to get it out of the shop soon. We only bought one Christmas present so far for one of the kids...things are really tough but i know the Lord will provide, something will break soon, we are going to take some of what is left of our savings and go out and try and just get it done at once. ! It is going to be nuts when we get to it....I only have 1 week to shop, wrap and get Christmas Dinner together...I can do it!!!
Have a Great Day Ladies!!!!

    • Ree, I have goosebumps as I read your blog! I’ve been to New York City twice. I’ve walked all over and went to the same places you did. My husband and I went to mass at St. Pats. Last time we were there looked like there was some major renovation going on.

We watched the ice skaters in Central Park. We didn’t eat pizza but we did eat some good New York street food!

What a glorious place New York is. I’m so glad you had a good time.

Right now Ree I’m going to light one of Lucinda’s candles and say a prayer for you and your family. I’m going to leave the candle lit all morning.

      Blessings to you

    • Marie, OMG, yes, Mondello’s do have the best pizza.  I worked on 39 & Madison and that was where we mostly got our Italian lunch fix...uuummmhhhh.

Thank heavens you choose yesterday to visit the Big Apple, since the weather was, not so nice.

      Thanks for sharing your day.

    • Ree, I had goosebumps as well as I read your about your New York adventure. I have been to N.Y. three times and each time has been and adventure that I will never forget.
you sound like you had a wonderful time!

I does make me a little sad though because since my daughter lives in New York now and I have not gotten the opportunity to go and have never even seen where she lives.
She LOVES the city and is always making me laugh because she always has a story to tell about her life as a N.Yer!
I plan on taking a trip this spring to visit her next year.
