It drives me crazy. It keeps me up all night. I have ear plugs...no help. I welcome any Ideas.
My husband had a sleep study and got put on a c - pap machine, He sleeps with it every night. I did not sleep with him for years. Once he got that about 8 years ago, i have not missed a nights sleep next to him since! See if you can get him an appointment with a pulmonologist. That is who we went to and they ordered the study. Turned out the snoring was dangerous! He had sleep apnea. Good luck!
Yes someone please help me out here too...hubby is so bad if baby boy is in the bed with us...HE tries to smother his daddy..I’m not kidding..lol
He’s just doing what I threaten every night to do...and nothing works..no strips, rings, bells, whistles, nothing...
OMG! SOUL you feel my pain. I just lay there thinking of ways not to kill him. Because my mind be telling me to put a pillow over his face until the noise stop.
Empower, yes he tried the strips...did not work. When I tell him he need to see a doctor he gets mad.
shoes...I’ve also wondered if I ‘accidentally’ smothered him, could I get away with it..say..if I tell them I was out of my mind because I was sleep deprived because of the every darn night snoring...that gets louder and louder...no matter which way you tell them to turn?...phew!!!!!
Been there...done that. He never followed back up with the doctor. He is a hot mess! lol!!!
Soul, Omg! what’s up with that? It gets louder and louder no matter how much I kick him...yes that’s right I kick him. No matter how may times I wake him up he fall right back to sleep and don’t miss a beat.
dang shoes..I think our hubby’s must be related...lol...same here gurl...same here...sometimes I do ‘accidentally’ poke him or take the covers off him, thinking that would ‘reset’ him...yeah right...who am I kidding?...and don’t let him have a cold...oh lawd help me then...lol
shoes..I even hear him when I’m in the shower with my music turned up..I don’t know how the baby can sleep thru that but if the phone rings..and it’s not nearly as loud as daddy is...he wakes right up...Hmmmmmm!!!
I’ll admit it-I moved to the other bedroom. I decided I’d rather sleep alone and be pleasant during our awake hours, than be a total bitch blaming him for my bad night’s sleep.
And you‘re right, ear plugs are no match for a heavy snorer. He says the doc told him there is no sleep apnea concern.
iron skillets help!!! lol
i threaten to hit hubz with one nightly.
he is going to be tested for sleep apnea. The strips are a waste of money. The only thing that did work was this snore spray. But, it has alcohol in it and hubz being a recovering addict/alcoholic, it kind of freaks him out. But it did pretty good.
My friend said those mouth guard things work good also. But who wants to sleep with that in your mouth!! lol
lol!!! Sometimes I turn the ceiling fan on high or turn the TV up real loud. Gurl he sitting over there snoring right now. I just wanna throw this glass of wine on him. :-0
I don’t think my hubby has a sleep apnea problem..my 12 yr old had it when she was a baby..so I remember the classic symptoms of it...no hubby just snores his a** off...lol
and don’t even think about falling to sleep before they do...someone told me to try that...yeah right..as soon as his motor gets started I can hang sleep up for the night!!!
Empower, I might have to take you up on that. I have not had a good night sleep in a longtime...I see we stay in the same State.
I hear you Cindy about sleeping in another room, but I didn’t married to sleep by myself. We have been married for 21 years...he has been snoring about 7 years. I wonder what happen???
empower..I have ambien too..but I don’t like how they make me feel and I’m too scared I won’t hear the baby if he wakes up..besides I think that I’ll wake up when his ‘motor’ gets started anyway...lol
But he’s not as bad as my ex...I actually ended up having to give my room up because I couldn’t take it anymore..I knew for sure he would have ended up dead if we’d continued to share a room..especially when I was pregnant with our last daughter and had a toddler to take care of...I couldn’t stand MYSELF when I was kept up all night because of his snoring...let alone him!!!...Why Me all the time?....lol
vigirl isn’t kidding either..I bet that would shut em right up...I’m just scared of what his reflexes might do to me..lol
shoes...did you hubby gain weight within the last 7 yrs?...because to my understanding weight gain can contribute to snoring...although I’m not sure how true that is...my hubby is tall and slim...who knows
Naw, not really. Plus he is very active. He rides his bike about 40 miles everyday.
lol...I’m for real though...This is the third serious relationship that I’ve had where the men snored like nobody’s business...I think he told me when i was pregnant with JJ that i snored...Not that I believe him...lol..Me?..Snore?..come on now..never!!!!..I’m sayin’
3! I been done hurt somebody.
I can not go through this again not without hurting somebody.
lol...gurl yes you could...especially if you love them..I thought that I couldn’t take the snoring either, but the good outweighs the bad...(and I’m not just saying that because he’s looking over my shoulder right now...lol)..For real though..he’s got about one more night before I..........
Well, gurl I will holla at you tomorrow if you are online. While he is sitting over there making all that d#** noise. I’m going to leave his butt right over and go to bed...and try to get some sleep before he wake up and get in the bed...because you already know after that it is OVA. Have a good night.
This is funny-this weekend, I visited girlfriends and I slept on the couch. Two other girls slept on an air mattress on the floor next to me. They both snored, but it was not like a buzzsaw, like hubz. I actually slept!!
I really think snoring contributed to the end of my last marriage-well, that and he was an a**.
exactly cindy...lol...snoring can definitely break a weak marriage...lol
This has been a bone of contention between me and my husband as well. DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!
At one point I had even moved into the guest bedroom...he didn’t like it...I loved it!
I tried ear plugs as well..no good! He even tried throat sprays and breathe right strips...no good.
It seems to happen more when he has either gained weight, had too much to drink before bed or has a cold or allergies.
Sometimes I think just to get on my last nerve as well...lol
Now I keep my Bose noise reduction headphone close so when he snores I can just reach for them with my eyes still closed and put them on.
It works pretty good. Sometime I even put one of my meditation cd’s in the disc man and listen to it through the headphones and in a minute I’m sound asleep.
Good luck girl...I definitely feel your pain.
Soulful, I keep laughing at the image of that little baby picking up a pillow with his tiny hands and holding it over daddy’s face!
Maybe baby boy just needs to lay his body over daddy’s face!
LOL..hmmm..cindy..I’ll try that one tonight...lol..He’s sure to snore up a storm...grrrrrr!!!
My hubby use to snore all the time . He went to dr, he found out he had high blood
Pressure. He is taking meds they are working. Yeah no more snoring!!! Guess what the
Dog is snoring now. I can’t win.
