As I’m sitting here typing I’m reminded that fall is just about here by looking out at the tree in front of my window, it’s leaves have began to curl and turn brown on the edges. I can see some yellowing on some of the leaves. The temperatures are still in the high 90’s but I know that will soon change as well, the nights are getting cooler and the days are beginning to get shorter. Soon old man winter will be blowin’ at my door uggggggggh I dread the winter month. Especially living here in Michigan our winters are so harsh and it brings nothing nice with it.

Yes of course when it snows and all of nature is covered in the white soft looking blanket it looks beautiful and soft to the touch, but don't be fooled it can be your worst enemy, for the beds of ice hiding underneath all that white beauty. Our roads are at their worst during this time of the year and I tell you the Wayne County Road Commission doesn't help to bring much relief to the thousands of people who have to commute back and forth on a daily basis with the roads being un salted and accidents upon accidents because of unsalted roads.

I dread seeing what this years wintry blast is going to bring us. I am now an Oakland County resident and I pray that it is much better for this community. With all the cut backs in many of the communities its a wonder if we’ll have a paved path to commute back and forth. Let’s just pray that it will be just fine.
What I will say though about the changing of the season is this I love seeing the sunsets of fall. After all the leaves have fallen off the trees you can truly see the beauty of the sunsets. I can hear the owls in the trees more in the fall, as well as seeing all the warm weather birds getting prepared to fly south for the winter.

Hopefully one day I too can fly South and not have to return for Spring.happy
