I was in the emergency room March 1, 2011, and it was a nightmare, I arrived there at 3:00PM and marched out crying and broken hearted at 11:00.  Nowadays, waiting up to five hours, in its self, is not odd, I have had more waiting time at emergency rooms, save for the problems started back to my home a week earlier.heartbreak

Allow me to back up here, I in no way want to bore my readers, other than what transpire to me is yet, stranger then if someone was creating characters for a script on a, 'nightmare emergency room horror film.'

    • Darlene,

I am horrified about your experience.  First of all, why would they assume that someone was lying about their physical ailments-especially when the evidence is right in front of them? As if a person somehow couldn’t have bipolar disorder or schizophrenia or PTSD or be a blue martian and still have insect bites?!

The whole experience would have been enough for me to want to hide under the covers for a week, but you couldn’t use your bed!  I hope all the nasty things (human and insect) are out of your life and the rest of the month is good!

      heart Anne

    • I encourage you to report your experience to the risk management or customer service department of the hospital. Good luck!
