When it’s hot-do you feel heavier?  I know I do.  Plus, lot’s of foods that I enjoy have lost their appeal in the heat.

My dh loves heavy foods-he does NOT care what the weather is either!

On Thursday afternoon, not but a mere 3 hours after he and the boys asked me to make Belgian waffles and bacon for breakfast-all 3 were asking me for clam chowder!

Really?  ugh.  Thankfully there’s this invention called canned soup-cuz this woman was NOT going to be cooking again in 110 degrees until it was time to start the grill for dinner.

Then Friday-this same man bought a groupon to a local pizza place that also did a vegan version.  “I got it for you honey“.

Sounded like a 4-year-old saying they took a cookie and they were eating it for me...

No, I don’t want to eat hot soup, chili, pizza, French fries and all other foods that sound as if I’ll regret consuming them later on in the day.

Give me a salad, fruit or veggie anytime.  Add some grilled fish or chicken and life is awesome. That’s Aidan’s favorite word for the moment.

This week has me feeling a tad “green” from medical procedures-so I really kept things light.

What do you find yourself craving more in the summer than in the other times of the year?

    • I found myself craving fruit this weekend, which is a little odd for me.  I was in town last night and thought raspberries would be nice, but when I thought about the hassle of stopping at the store, I gave up on the idea of fruit.  Plus, we so rarely get GOOD fruit around here.  It’s always underripe or starting to rot or something.

Sounds like your husband and I would love eating together.  :)  It doesn’t matter to me if the weather is hot or cold.
