!pic I’ve noticed that many people can learn to see auras. Our own, and others‘. I took a course that included aura-reading, and it wasn’t that hard. Once you get the hang of it, you can see them at will, whenever you want.

To see your own aura, stand in front of a mirror. Make sure that behind you is a neutral color. White is good. No patterns. Now - you‘re relaxed, but stand still. Look at your face and shoulders. Keep looking. Let your eyes relax. The eyes don’t go out of focus exactly, it’s more like you‘re looking past your image.

In a very short time, you will see a thin, bright, white light around you, close to your body (like maybe half an inch out from the body), and following the shape of your head and neck. This is not your aura. Quite honestly, I have no idea what it is. But once you can see that, keep looking because I’ve found that within a few seconds to a minute, I’ll start to see light that’s not so closer to the body. This light can extend quite a way out from the body, and it’s not necessarily symmetrical. You might see more light on the right side of your body, for instance. Keep looking, and you’ll see colors in this light. It’s really awesome.

The next step is to try this looking at someone else. Find a friend who doesn't mind being stared at! Tell him or her that you're practicing seeing auras, and that they might have to sit there for some time, while you stare at them weirdly. Make sure they're sitting in front of a neutral color background. Both of you should be sitting to avoid fatigue, and to encourage relaxation. No talking.  Now just stare at your friend, especially around his or her head or shoulders.

After a few seconds, you’ll see their sticky white light (don’t confuse this with The White Light, because they‘re not the same thing), and then when you keep looking (yes, you can blink but not too much), you will eventually see a bigger light around your friend and then you’ll start to see colors in it!

The whole thing is way cool, and if it takes you longer to get the hang of it, I totally think it’s worth it.

Namaste,
Suzann

And you can bet, none of the colors in your aura have been tested on animals! Weird seguay? Oh well. To see my list of over 350 cosmetics companies that do not do animal testing click [Link Removed]

Very interesting info. My mom used to use me to study auras when I was a teenager. Back then it freaked me out a little cuz I thought she was actually trying to find out what mischief her teen daughter was up tooestatic

    • Thanks, you guys.

Vikki, did you Mom find out what you were up to?happy

Corine, I do - I’ll put that list up today - thanks for asking!

Annie - I knew Arbonne doesn't test on animals, but if they're also vegan, I'll notate that on the [Link Removed] site.

Twinkie, don’t forget to practice on yourself (or a willing subject) first. Try to get it so you can look at yourself (or the subject) for a minute or less before the aura appears. Also, I’ve noticed that when people are moving, it’s harder to see their auras.

    • Thanks Suzann - I’m going to try this too.  Can you see aura’s around pets?  Maybe I could practise staring at my dog first to get the hang of it.

I had my aura photo taken at a mind body spirit expo years ago - very interesting to see everyone’s colours.

    • Kerri, that’s so cool.

Dawnkaren, I haven’t been able to see too much around my pets yet, but I’m going to keep trying. I can see their white fields close to their bodies, but so far no real colors. I think it’s easier to start with people.

Bernadette, what a wonderful confirmation. Yes, evidently auras are actually real.

Trudy, I haven’t forgotten about posting about the colors. I got sidetracked by work, but I’ll have that posted probably tomorrow. Edgar Cayce wrote a small booklet about auras that’s quite wonderful. It’s called “Auras: An Essay on the Meaning of Colors“.

Hi Corine. I had a friend who was able to read auras by looking at you and then closing her eyes. I guess she saw your colors in her mind’s eye. I would imagine you can work with a photo, but I haven’t read much about it. Let’s both try it, and see what we can come up with.

My feeling, Corine, is that having the person in front of you is actually having the person’s energy right there for you to look at. I’m not sure we’d get that same energy, which radiates from our bodies and thoughts and emotions, from a picture.

      Namaste,
      Suzann

    • WOW, I’m learning so much, I will certainly try looking at my own aura.
To try this, does the area need to be well lit or bright? Can you see auras in dimly lit areas?

    • Hi Monikoko,

Try starting in a room with medium, general-area lighting. Not too bright, not too dim. When you look in the mirror at yourself, don’t move around too much, just quietly watch.

Let us know how it goes, okay?

      Namaste,
      Suzann
