Raising four kids very close in age was never easy. Paying for three colleges at the same time was suffocating yet very rewarding. Many of our friends asked the same question "How do you manage?" and the answer was always the same, "One child at a time"
Listening to last nights evening news and hearing about a California mother giving birth to octuplets, something that has only been done once before, I couldn't help but ask the same question. "How are they going to manage?" Except this is way different?..
Six girls, and two boys each weighing between 1.8 and 3.4 pounds were delivered by a caesarean section in just five minutes by a team of nurses and 46 doctors. According to the last news report all babies are breathing on their own and doing just fine.
The identity of the couple has not been disclosed, but Dr. Mandhir Gupta, a neo-natologist who cared for the infants said: "She's a very strong woman, so she probably will be able to handle all eight babies".
I'm sure that I speak on behalf of all Fab40 members in wishing this special family lots of strength, health, HELP and prosperity. God knows they'll need it.
I bet she gets a mass of sponsorship - that happened in the UK with the Walton Girls - all six of them

But hey wouldn’t want those sleepless nights plus she said she is breast feeding jinks she will not get any sleep

Most barriers to your success are man-made. And most often, you‘re the man who made them.—Frank Tyger
This is amazing. I can’t even imagine how much work all of this will be for her. Not to mention the expense. I do hope that they get a lot of help from family, friends, and the community. The flip side of that will be their life will not be private. The children will be the subject of a type of reality show. That’s the pop culture nature of our society today. But I do hope they don’t have to go it alone.
I’m sure, too, that they’ll have their own reality show before long (they’ve probably already been approached) which will help to offset the expenses.
I can’t imagine that poor woman’s body will ever be the same.
i agree with you all!
have nothing else to add except that i will keep them in prayer
I could not believe it when I heard the news this morning. Can you imagine raising 8 of the same age!!! I’m sure the family will get lots of love and support from those around them.
May all the babies grow to be healthy and happy.
WOW! I saw that this a.m. and was amazed. Thank God the babies seem to be doing okay without the respirators.
My mom had 8 kids, but heck! There was a span of 17 years between the oldest and the youngest! I can’t imagine multiples of any kind. Even twins.
I hope they do get support/sponsorship or some kind of assistance without going the whole reality t.v. route like John & Kate plus 8. I think that Kate has gone totally bonkers and is milking their situation for everything she can...and her husband and children are paying for it. But I digress...I just hope that this instantly enormous family remains in good health and does well.
Wow, they will take up the whole pew in church. Good for them.

I’m sure they will have plenty of help too but I couldn’t stand the rocket engine noise of 8 babies crying at once or the sheer number of diapers they will go through in one day. Dad and mom will have to have nerves of steel or patience deeper than the ocean. I wish them Good Luck and God’s Blessing.
Mom says she is going to try and breastfeed all of them too but while that is an admirable thing, she will not have the energy to do it. I know from experience that premature babies want to eat every 2 hours at a minimum. Multiply that times 8 and that is literally all you will do. Forget about sleep.
Raising triplets was a momentous task. I can’t even begin to imagine the logistics of 8 babies, 8 cribs, 8 high chairs, several thousand diapers a year and that’s all before nursery school.
I had 5 kids in 9 years...it was hectic but always always an adventure and I always looked at it like that. I was always blessed with knowing that they were going to grow up and things would calm down. Not everyoce can do that and they end up wishing their lives away. My prayer for this family, besides good health, would be to lavish in every single second because with 8 it is going to be so hectic it is going to fly by.
