Yesterday, I ate cookies, and not just one.  Being a Health Coach for Take Shape for Life, I have lost over 50lbs.  I knew I needed to take drastic measures to correct this situation.  Since my husband has IBS and NO self control we have kept junk food out of the house.  How did I do this with kids?  I let them eat dessert and chips when we would go out.  Occasionally, I would let them keep some but I put them in Tupperware and I had them hide them.  So, when I blew it I knew what needed to be done.  I packed the cookies up and told my, now 20 year old, son to hide them or they would be thrown out.  If you are trying to change your eating habits, CLEAN OUT THE CUPBOARDS!  Don't try to just resist because out of site out of mind works and we need to admit our limitations.  One older couple I know, the wife had the husband dole out one, two or three M&M's as a reward for sticking to her new eating habits.  Whatever works to make change easier do it and reward yourself for sticking with whatever program you are using for change. I just bought a new wardrobe and I am not going to dump that money down the drain.  Don't wallow in your mistakes, pick yourself up and start again.

    • I rarely have a sweet tooth, however certain times of the year I become a chocoholic. But if you put a fresh bag of potato chips, corn chips or pretzels in or around me, consider them gone—no matter what size bag. Now since I passed the half century mark, I’ve hit size 14! Oh well, more of me to love! estatic

    • I hide the “treats” from my man.  He has no self control when it comes to sweets.  Sometimes he’ll see where I’ve hidden the treats and I have to find a new place.  I running out of hiding places now.
Out of sight, out of mind....sometimes I forget where I’ve put them :)
