I was all set to make my contribution today. I did add a few thoughts to a couple of posts, but it just didn't feel right to complain.
I have every right to complain. It is easy to allow yourself to be a victim. I have been through my share of painful situations. Dysfunctional family, molested as a child, alcoholic, abusive step dad as a trade off as a teenager, health challenges that at one time kept me in bed on any given day, buried a child when he was only 4 1/2 weeks old which many considered a direct result of a negligence on the part of the medical system, spiritual division in my home, and on and on the list goes.

But, in all honesty, I have nothing to complain about. God is good. We have our health, my husband has a job, although we have accustomed ourselves to living the American way (spend every dime you make and then some) we still get our bills paid and have food on the table, and all the necessities. Compared to other countries, we are all rich!

I could gripe that I don’t have enough time to build my business like I would like to, but then that would be saying something about how I value my family. I do struggle finding balance. I’d like to have luxury handed to me on a silver platter, but would I really appreciate it?

I could gripe about politics, the economy, the spiritual state of our country, the health care system that has somehow achieved oxymoron status (is it not a sickness system?), but it is like beating a dead horse. Will it do any good?

What we need is an official Make A Difference Day - where we as women with vision stand up together to affect change. Instead of gripe, we should find a way to change what we don’t like! I have always said - if you don’t like something - change it. We don’t have to keep doing what we are doing - just because it has always been done that way! Let’s dream with childlike belief that all dreams can come true, and then make it happen. I am horrible at remembering who said what, but I love the saying “What the mind can conceive, man can achieve.”
In the midst of our complaining, we need to remember that we are what we think. We attract to ourselves the very thoughts that we think. If we think negatively, we will attract it. I have enough of that around me without needing to attract it! LOL It takes alot of energy to refract negative thoughts. Let’s focus on making our dreams become our realities!!!
