I downloaded Twitter, and registered, posted a few comments, but it seems you‘re Talking To YourSelf!

You see the most Boring things the Rich and Famous post: “I’m making a sandwich” I remember one posting. SO?

It’s not like they Talk to YOU.

Ashton Kutcher has an obsession with YouTube videos.

It’s so OverRated.

I don’t understand the Following/Being Followed part.

Does anyone Understand what Twitter is for?

MySpace  vs  Facebook  vs  Twitter  ??

    • Well you can attach your blogs to it too. I like FB better but I have my twitter and when you FOLLOW someone sometimes they post interesting stuff. When you are being FOLLOWED (kinda creepy sounding and I am all alone tonite) people are following what you are doing.
You get the most action out of me during hockey games cuz my team twitters too....

    • But why would Normal (I hope) every day people want to Follow Me (Us), we‘re not famous?

For the Week or so I was on Twitter, there was nothing interesting about what any other the famous people were saying. I thought they would at least talk to you.
Well, I have to say whoever was sending msges to Katherine Heigl, when she had the time, she was trying to answer them little by little. God knows how LONG that list was though. I didn’t have the patients to stick around to find out if she was ever going to get to My Comment to her.

      I Got Bored!

I like my MySpace. I don’t even like Facebook. I’m seriously thinking of Deleting it.

    • I can see where Twitter could be boring. I find it so simple that it’s refreshing. It’s simple, not chatting like here, it seems just right for super busy people who only have a moment to “shout out or holla.”

    • To me Twitter is like venting in short little spurts.  Some of it is boring; some is not.  I follow various news sites and Life magazine with their photos.  I follow some people who are my friends and a couple who’s tweets are just interesting.  One friend lives across the Atlantic.  It’s just quick fun, and not involved like this site or FB or MySpace.

    • I’m with the OP...I don’t get the Twitter obsession at all!  My personal feeling is that people who spend so much time on all these “social” networking sites are really just avoiding the real thing.  I know one person who Twitters and FB’s constantly, but everything that’s posted is a total lie.  So...what’s the point?  Making strangers who are following you think you‘re somebody?  Would there be personal satisfaction in that?  Not for me.  My life is far too routine to be of much interest to anyone.  I love my life, I just don’t see the point in Tweeting what I’m doing to people I don’t know at all or barely know.  My true friends are the people I see and share my life stories with IN PERSON!!

Its a great way to keep up with people who are interest to you. “Celebrities” are getting insane amounts of tweets - so obviously they can’t reply to them all. But, I’ve found that its a great place to reach to people that I’m interested in and would like to get to know.

In the last couple of months, I’ve sold books on Twitter, found bloggers to host virtual tours I’m coordinating and have gotten new clients there. If you have information about things you‘re organizing, things you‘re creating, your business, interests, etc - it can be a great place to share and interact with others. I think of mine as my own personalized news feed to keep up with people and things that are of interest. Its also less boring as you reach out and “follow” more people :)
