Dosent it really get to you .. ?  Our President said he was a Mutt, how humbling and how completely descriptive of American’s.

Obama dog: Purebred or mutt?
By CAROL E. LEE | 11/7/08 3:53 PM EST

Asked what kind of dog he plans to buy for his two young daughters, Barack Obama said it's a tossup between a purebred and a mutt like him.

"This is a major issue," he deadpanned at his first press conference as president-elect. "We have two criteria that have to be reconciled. One is that Malia is allergic, so it has to be hypoallergenic. There are a number of breeds that are hypoallergenic. On the other hand, our preference would be to get a shelter dog. But obviously, a lot of shelter dogs are mutts, like me. So whether we‘re going to be able to balance those two things, I think, is a pressing issue on the Obama household."

The Chicago Tribune has reported that the Obamas are "leaning toward a goldendoodle," a hypoallergenic hybrid of a golden retriever and a poodle.

Obama also acknowledged that the future first puppy has widespread fans.

"I think it’s generated more interest on our website than just about anything," he said.

In terms of possible schools for Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, Obama said his wife, Michelle, is scoping out different options.

"We’ll be making a decision about that in the future," he said.

Im a Mutt Too !!!!
