I’ve always loved hats. I remember being just a kid wearing a Twins baseball cap that merely had a blue T on it. T, which I believed stood for Terri. I wore that hat everyone. I was quite the little tomboy. Then I started to grow up. In high school, my hat of choice was actually a bandana that I rolled and tied around my forehead. It went quite well with the fatigue shirt I wore in support of...something. I wasn’t sure what I was supporting - perhaps freedom?  Or maybe I was just trying to make a fashion statement “Chic Rebel.”
After I joined the military I was forced to wear a hat on a daily basis. This was NOT the fashion accessory I longed for. I began buying other hats. I bought a cute little blue hat with a tiny net like thing that dropped down onto my forehead. It was adorable. I loved it. Unfotunately it didn’t go with my uniform so I was relegated to wearing it only off base.
Even though I have all of these years of experience wearing hats, I still feel conspicuous when I’m out in public wearing a hat. But I so love them! I decided I wasn’t going to wait to be 50 to wear a red hat.
When I dress in my black capris, black tank, red jacket and red biker type hat, my kids always say, “Mom!  You look so cute!”  I guess I don’t care if I’m conspicuous if my kids think I look cute.

Hats off to ya!

    • Cute profile pic! I love it.

I can imagine how funny it would be to have a military gal in a cute little buree! (sorry on the spelling)

      I love hats as well.

I collect top hats, flourish hats, baseball caps, buree’s, and in many different colors and styles.

I dont wear them just to cover up a bad hair day, i actually enjoy them just because, and wear them several times a week. ...

Especially with a great pair of glasses...

I have an obsession with them too!
