This week, I started working with a new pace partner in my business. She’s someone else in the company, but not on my direct team, so we have more of a peer-to-peer relationship and help each other out with advice, challenges, and accountability.

We started on our journey together this week, so our first assignment was to develop our personal and professional short and long-term goals.  

Sounds easy, right?  

It probably would be for someone who knew what they wanted and where they were going.

I, apparently, do not fall into that category.

I’ve been a workaholic for a long time, and with this business, I’ve built it beyond any of my other businesses or positions for other companies.  

Mind you, when I say workaholic, that’s my own drive moreso than the demands of what I do.

However, striving so hard to reach my short-term goals has made me lose sight of the long-term plan. Where am I going?  

Before I started this job, I had some definite plans. But we all know what happens to plans. Life!  

My life is completely different than it was when I started with the company. What changed it was the job.  

I see so many new possibilities now that I couldn’t even envision before.  

So, stay tuned. Big dreams coming soon! And if it happens to, in fact, help with my complete lack of focus (why didn’t my ADD develop in childhood?), I’ll be way ahead of the game.
