    • I just did a 180 bike ride this summer and had to raise $3500.  I did it with a friend and we both had to raise that amount so here are some thingse we did.  We had a fundraising event at a bar.  The bar gave us the room for free, and we charged a $20 cover.  We asked a friend to be dj, and we made an IPOD list of songs for dancing.  We raised about $800.   We got a friend to donate tickets to a Red Sox game, then we asked another bar by Fenway park to let us come in and sell raffle tickets to win the game tickets.   That night we raised another $1000.   I got a couple of companies to sponsor me and told them that I would put their logo on my bike or helmet, and I raised another $1000 that way.  My mother sent a letter to all her friends saying I was doing the raise and would they consider pledging me $5 or $10.  Many people responded and sent me more than that.  It was a good way to approach an older crowd who doesn’t know computers that well and many times don’t trust doing anything monetarily over them.  Good luck with your fund raising!  I also have a freind  who baked cookies and sold them to raise money.

    • Yes it could happen,  I used to run a lot and have done a few triathlons, and it has happened to me, but they always grow back:)   You will feel so great after accomplishing the 3 day walk, you won’t care anyway.
