As a young adult, I was consisently in financial ruin, because of my habitual impulse buying and forgetting to pay my bills on time.
Now, as an older adult, I’m 100% better than I was 20 years ago. I learned my lessons the hard way, but I learned them well.
I just finished reading a book called: “12 Steps to Eliminate Debt Forever“! The author is: Sharman Lawson, who is a member of this site. The book is very direct and written simplistically. I enjoyed it immensely as I found it to be very informative. Not only was I inspired by Ms. Lawson’s story of how she accomplished her debt free lifestyle, I am now very motivated to zap my last annoying debt!
She is is very detailed in every chapter, which I found very helpful. At my age and experience, I thought I knew it all, but this book opened my eyes in a positive way!
There is certainly a lot I'm going to change about my money habits. This year, I'll have more money to save and spend, because I will develop a good habit of tracking my spenditures.
I highly recommend this book to anyone with or without debt—It’s invaluable information and I wish I could had read it 20 years ago!
I am looking forward to the day when I am completely debt free!
