I have four great children.  I can’t complain, it just seems like my 18 year old daughter is lost and I can’t seem to help.  She has been in the same on and off realtionship for 3 years (I should say she is almost 19).  Right now they are off, he is not the greatest guy she should be with and we are trying so hard to help her but deep down we know she will end up back with him.
She seems to be happy not going to college and working as a hostess 9 months out of the year. She is very fragile, we have had her to counselors over the years and they all tell me the same thing, she will not talk until she is ready.
It is a never ending cycle with her, she has been really sick the past week and we have gotten along great which is rare, and now that she is feeling better she is starting to contact him which is making her cry all of the time.  I need help not sure what to do, I keep telling her she needs to work on herself and being happy alone.

    • Thank you I will check out that site.  The sad thing about it is I was in a bad relationship with her father, she was four when we divorced and seems to be following.
I have been married for 12 years to my current husband and he has been wonderful to her so she has seen a healthy realtionship.
I just worry about her I think there was more than just mental abuse also but no way to prove it.
