So where have I been? Where HAVEN‘T I been!?!

First, let me say I do NOT recommend the Instant Empty Nest syndrome. This is supposed to be step-staired process so we can adjust, right?

Leaving my dream home and young adult children in NC to move to Indiana with my husband (their father) has been one of the most difficult adjustments of my entire life. We‘re living like college students again—complete with mismatched kitchenware and a macaroni and cheese budget!

Almost a year later, I finally have a semblance of a social life in South Bend. I have a new parish I love and a super fantastic knitting group that I would CRAWL to every Wednesday morning if I had to.

I discovered the knitting group (it’s at a cancer support/services organization) because I’ve become a “caregiver” for a friend going through Chemo for breast cancer. Twice I’ve flown to California to spend a month with CC—oh! I can post a video I made, duh! CC (ChemoChick) is also a writer so of course we started a blog, SickOfPink to chronicle our journey through and observations during this thing called Cancer. Join us, won’t you?
