For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11 KJV)

For the past (8) weeks I have been attending a ministry class at my church (Equipping and Releasing School of the Spirit) which is the name of the class. It has been so rewarding as well as spirit filled. I went through a ministry class at my former church and to be honest it was nothing like this one the anointing was missing from it as well as God's truths. The teachers as well as my pastors are so full of God's wisdom and instruction it is so hard not to come away with vital wisdom of God. God called me some 20+ years ago into ministry and I have been somewhat kicking against the pricks so to speak not truly understanding my calling fully until I began to really seek Him more for the understanding of "the call" don't get me wrong I understand that I have a work to do in the kingdom, but its more complexed than I knew. God is tugging at me and wanting to take me to a higher level in ministry. I have been propheseied over many times about me even being a pastor, and of course my response was "no way not me lol." Then someone said "why not you?" If God can use a jack-ass he can surely use you! Ok so I had to humble myself and retract my statement because I also thought about Sarah when she laughed at God when he told her she would bare a son and it happened. I cannot tell God no! It is He who has called me and I answered the call many years ago and now it is my sole duty to be obedient to the calling as well as to Him.

It's not about me! I have truly enjoyed my spiritual journey in Christ some of this journey has not been good at all, but that is to be expected when you answer the call to live for Christ, Satan gets mad because he no longer has power over you, and he knows that in my answering the call it is one more soldier he has to contend with in the battle to win others to Christ and lessen his chances at victory over them. Being called by God is a special honor and it comes with a heavy anointing. Many don't understand the meaning of being called and anointed by God. Yes as the scriptures read: For many are called, but few are chosen. (Matt.22:14) Meaning there are many out there with the calling on them, but they have failed to answer the call and refused to humble themselves to be used of God so they are not chosen to carry out His instructions to the world, the lost.

It took me a minute to really allow myself to give in to this call, it is not a play thing nor can you just pick it up and put it down whenever you want, once you tell God yes, it’s on. Many people talk of wanting to be anointed in their ministies, well the anointing comes from God and you have to earn it! It is not a spritz of perfume you can just spray on and on, you have to truly be sold out for Christ and willing to do His will with your whole repented, and forgiving heart. The anointing is going to cost you big time. In order to be anointed you have to go through some stuff and I mean go through! But not only go through, but also allow God to carry you through it by not giving up in the midst of your going through. Prayer is the key to helping one to make it through their trial process, this is NOT an easy task, in no way, shape, form or fashion, I mean God will allow the tests and trials to come to kill out whatever is in you thats not of Him and can’t be used in your ministry, in order to be anointed we must allow ourselves to die, to make room for Christ to rise up in us.
Just like the passage in states: we must put on the new man,
Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2Cor.5:17)
We MUST allow the new man (Christ) that is now in us rise and control our very being. I am so excited about what God is doing in my life, the trials I am not so happy with but I also know that the trials are going to help me grow in obedience to God just like Abraham. (Genesis Ch.22)
I know He will see me through it out of my obedience. I’m looking forward to this new thing God is doing in my life and I know the reward will be great, I just want to please Him in all that I do.
