I must have a lot on my mind this evening because this is my third blog this evening. Thank God for Fab 40!

I’m scared to go to work on Jan 2, 2009. Why because I get so tired after doing just one activity.

Now I had a hysterectomy on 11/17. I am doing very well with my recovery - Praise God.

But I’m tired. I try to do one thing a day and afterwards, I cannot wait to take a nap. How am I going to work? I will probably fall asleep by 1:00 - LOL!

I guess I have to have a plan for myself when I go back to work. I just hope I can make it.

    • Tracy I have a strange thought about you being so tired. Since I’ve been in perimenopause, I get so incredibly tired sometimes in the middle of the day. That never happened to me before this.

I would imagine a hysterectomy plays havoc with your hormones? Could that be the problem?

      Just a thought.
Glad the surgery went well for you!

    • Chocolatier - yes I’m sure it is. I still have my ovaries but I am sure it’s a bunch medical stuff all rolled into one.

Being an organized person, I need to make sure I have a plan in place to make sure stuff is taken care of.

    • Tracy, I just read your other 2 recent blogs, do you think your family demands may be causing some emotional/physical drain? And Cynthia makes a good point. Why don’t you call your MD before returning to work, see if there’s a suggestion you might try. Or maybe Happy Mamma (Dee Dee)or others might have an idea.

    • Coachmombabe - YES I think it’s the family drain too. I had a lot on my mind tonight can’t you tell - LOL! This is a great website to just vent and let it out!

I will call my doctor on Monday and see what she has to say.

      Thank you!

    • LL in conjunction with what the others have said, this could also be some anxiety in returning.  Is your mind in alignment with your body, is it ready to get back out there.  Seems your mind is in one zone and your body in another

    • Jacquie - Exactly! I want to do everything! But then my body will say no no no! And I get frustrated. So yes there is some anxiety.

So this means to conquer the anxiety I need to go deep into my prayer closet. Because God did not give me a spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind.

Jacquie - thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I knew by just expressing my feelings tonight I would get some great advice from the ladies - Thank you!

    • Tracy,  I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago.  My Dr. told me to expect to be tired all the time for up to a year.  It’s a major surgery (no matter which way it’s done) and it takes your body time to heal.
      You WILL feel better!

    • Jomi - Thank you. I needed that. I’m feeling a little down about it right now. I just need to get used to it and EMBRACE IT happy

    • LL, you are welcome.  It’s been so long since I had my hysterectomy, almost 10 years, I can’t remember how I felt about going back to work.  Gosh, one day from work and I don’t want to go back...LOL

    • The good news is that some of your Fab40 sisters know exactly what you‘re going through. I for one was not tired but then I’ve always been active and bounced back from childbirth the same as hysterectomy.

You said you‘re gonna call your doctor on monday, so my support and prayers are that you relate with your doctor and incorporate all our tips and your inner voice. All will work together accordingly, that’s what I believe.
